Wedding Cakes start from £150 for a large singel tier or small 2 tier, but an average cake would probably be about £250 to £350 for a 3 tiered cake.

Why do wedding cakes cost more?   Basically because a lot more time is put into them and only top quality ingreditent are used.  I offer a complete personalised service for your wedding cake.  This involves a consultation of approx1-2 hours if needed plus any extra consolations you may require.  I will then get back to you with a design or designs for your cake and a written quotation.  I am there on the other side of the phone to discuss with you any worries, changes or alterations to your cake you may have.  Your wedding cake will be designed personally for you to suit your taste and theme.  I will make no more than 2 wedding cakes in a week, so that your cake gets my best attention.  Extra time is spent on wedding cakes to make sure the finish is as good as possible.  All wedding cakes have a coat of marzipan and then sugar paste (unless it's a chocolate cake or otherwise stated).  Only the finest quality ingredients are used.    Your cake will be delivered and time will be taken to set up and place your cake in the best way possible, with attention paid to every detail.  You have peace of mind that what you ordered will be there waiting at your reception when you arrive, without any fuss, worry or stress on your behalf.  

A 10% dscount is given on wedding cakes when purchased with a package if stationery.

Wedding Stationery

The prices of wedding stationery are shown with the designs.  An average price would be around £2.00 per day   invitation, though prices start from £1.50 and go up-to £5.00 each.  If you are having a range designed for you then you will be given the prices with the samples, and I can also design a range for your chosen budget.  A 10% discount is given when purchasing a package of stationery and 10% discount is given when a package of stationery and cake are ordered together.  This discount does not apply to postage and package which is charged at cost.

Delivery

Cakes are usually for collection, but can be delivered locally or in surrounding towns, delivery charges start from £2.50 in Darlington (3 miile radius)  and 56p per mile extra after that.    Stationery can be delivered anywhere throughout the UK and the cost of this will be advised prior to despatch dependent of the weight of your package.  Postage is charged at cost and is excluded from any discounts.

Deposits

Wedding Cakes require a £100 deposit on order, the final balance is due 3 weeks prior to your wedding date, unless you are collecting your cake, then the balance would be paid on collection.  If cakes are booked 12 months or more in advance then a £50 deposit is require and the other £50 deposit 6 months before the wedding.

Celebration Cakes, a £10 deposit is required for cakes up to £50, £20 desposit for cakes above £50.

Wedding Stationery a 50% deposit is required on order, unless ordering your stationery more than 12 months in advance, then a 25% deposit is due and the other 25% would be due 6 months before the wedding.  The balance is then required up on delivery of each item.  For example  if your invitations would be delivered 10 weeks before the wedding  the balace for these would be paid prior to delivery.  Your table plan etc would be delivered the week of or before your wedding and the balace on these items would be required at that time unless you are also having a wedding cake, then the final balance of stationery is due with the final balance of the cake.  A full itenery would be provided.
